Skin Concerns: Photoaged, hyperpigmented, scars and solar keratoses. If you have hyperpigmentation and/or melasma, this peel is ideal as it contains a combination of acids rather then high concentrations of a single acid. Peel ingredients and actions: Salicylic Acid is a BHA known for its beneficial anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant effects. Salicylic acid is oil soluble which allows for deeper penetration than AHAs and is effective in treating problematic skin and unblocking pores. Lactic Acid is a gentle AHA that effectively exfoliates to help retexturise the skin, improving the appearance of the signs of ageing, including fine lines, wrinkles and dark pigmented areas, while providing hydrating properties to maintain moisture levels of the skin. Citric acid is a naturally occurring alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) used for not only its exfoliating properties, but it is also a powerful antioxidant protecting skin cells from damage and it works in synergy with the other ingredients to maximise the formulas efficacy.
