What is it?
Microchanneling is similar to microneedling and uses a mechanised stamper to create tiny, clean microchannels in the skin, through which Growth Factor based serums are absorbed. The microchannels stimulate collagen production, and increase the rate of serum absorption by 300%. The Procell microchannelling device uses sterile needles made from wire filaments, small enough to fit into a hair follicle. The device moves across the skin in a tapping or bouncing motion instead of sliding like a traditional needling pen. This minimises trauma to the skin for faster recovery.
Procell is an anti-ageing and corrective treatment that combines microchanneling and application of powerful Growth Factor (mesenchymal stem cell and cytokine protein) serum.
This a Dermascope 2020 winning treatment.
What are the benefits?

Tightens facial skin
Decreases pigment irregularities
What's in the treatment serum?
The Procell products contain a broad spectrum of cytokines that support rejuvenation throughout the wound healing cascade induced by microchanneling: from fibroblast stimulation to collagen production, to cell division, proliferation, and, importantly, matrix & tissue inhibition cytokines that "turn off" the wound healing cascade at the right time. So they are both effective and safe.
The 'Growth Factor' serums are derived from lab cultures taken from the bone marrow of young athletes in peak health to ensure the most optimal and active donor material. There is no live human material in the serums. The products are produced in an FDA-compliant manufacturing facility, and have been on the market in one form or another for nearly a decade.
How do stem cells and cytokines work?
First, be aware that skin care products with the word "Stem Cell" in their name or description do not actually contain stem cells as Stem cells cannot survive outside the body. What they do have are proteins that stem cells make. These proteins are called cytokines. Cytokines are a family of proteins produced by our immune system that heal our injuries and fight disease. The family of Cytokines includes growth factors and peptides.
Procell creates a biological interaction between damaged cells and healing cytokines. Our bone marrow contains mesenchymal stem cells. These contain DNA hardware to work towards wound healing, fighting disease, and rejuvenating skin. The cells excrete proteins called cytokines, which are like little packages of information.
When the microchannelling creates a small injury in the skin, stem cells report to the area (or, in this case, are applied on the treatment area) to heal. Cell receptors in the injured area connect with the healthy cytokine into the damaged cells. Let the healing begin!
